# Adjusting notification display time in Windows

You can change how long notifications stay on screen in Windows using Accessibility settings or Group Policy.

## Option 1: Using Windows Settings

1. Go to **Settings \> Accessibility \> Visual Effects**.
2. Under **Dismiss notifications after this amount of time**, select the duration you want notifications to display.
3. All notifications will now show for the selected time.

> **Note:** Notifications will display even if the screen is locked, but **will not appear if the screen is in sleep mode**.

## Option 2: Using Group Policy / MSI Installer

For network-wide control, you can set the notification display time for all machines using **Group Policy** or within your **MSI installer**:

- Navigate to:  
  `Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility`
- Modify the **DWORD** value: `MessageDuration`
- Set the value in **seconds** for how long notifications should appear
