Notifications on Android

Turn on teamSOS notifications on each Android device, then let them bypass Do Not Disturb so urgent alerts always get through. Menu names vary slightly between Android versions and phone makers.

Turn on notifications

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps & notifications (or Apps).
  3. Find and tap the teamSOS app.
  4. Tap Notifications.
  5. Turn on Allow notifications.

You can also choose sound, vibration and pop-up settings here.

Let alerts bypass Do Not Disturb

  1. In the same Notifications screen for teamSOS, look for Advanced settings (or a similar option).
  2. Turn on Override Do Not Disturb. It may be called Priority notifications or Critical Alerts instead.

Once this is on, urgent teamSOS alerts will come through even when the phone is silenced.
