Welcome and plan for onboarding
For school leads. Welcome to teamSOS! Here's everything you need to set up teamSOS, train your staff and go live, step by step.
Start with our short guide, Introducing teamSOS (pdf).
Some of the steps will need to be completed by your IT/technical support and these are clearly outlined below.
Your onboarding journey: 1. Welcome: set up your accountYou should receive an email invitation to set up your teamSOS account. Log in to your teamSOS admin account and confirm your key contacts.
2. Responder setupConfirm who will receive and respond to incident alerts, so your response process is ready from day one.
If you have an IT contact completing the Onboarding Wizard, it will be helpful to provide them with the names, emails and permissions of your response team in advance so they can input this into the system.
3. Platform setup (for your IT contact)Your IT team completes the Onboarding Wizard and any network or firewall setup. We can do this with your team on a call if that helps.
4. Training your staffShare training resources with your staff.
5. Testing and go-liveRun a drill to check your alerts and escalation.
Once everything has been tested, your staff are ready to use teamSOS for real incidents.
Going live means staff can raise incidents, the right people are alerted instantly, and your response workflow works end to end.
Who does what- School lead: confirms key contacts, the rollout plan and staff communications.
- IT contact or provider: completes the platform configuration and technical requirements.
